I do my own taxes every year! Or to be honest with you I struggle with my own taxes every year. In January of every year I say that I’m going to have it professionally done but the though of sacrificing 120.00 as a fee for preparing my taxes makes me cringe so I’m preparing my own taxes again this year. I do a haphazard E-File every year I know that the IRS hates me but who cares, they get an interest free loan from me every year so they can’t complain, but i digress. This year I slowly started to receive my W2’s I’ve already got 2 , but I’m waiting on 2 more. I had 4 jobs for 2008, when most people have had 4 jobs within their lifetime. Last year added jobs 13-16 to my secular career. What in the world am i doing? I though back to why I left those jobs and came up with some very valid reasons for the regularity of my job changes.
1) Marketing Coordinator at a Land Development Firm – Laid off from the best job of my life due to the economy
2) Cashier at a Department store where I worked for exactly 4 weeks then they let me go since the holiday rush was over( I was glad to leave I will never work at a clothing store again in my life)
3) Marketing coordinator/ Administrative Assistant for a Tutoring Company- Felt that I was being mistreated and the director kept giving me dirty looks. I didnt feel comfortable there so I promptly left after only 3 weeks.
4) Health Insurance Sales person- Current employer
Some of my reasons for leaving certain places of employment seem ridiculous even to me. Not only have I had 4 different jobs I seemed to have changed fields altogether each time, how bizarre. I am currently very comfortable in my current position but who knows how long I’ll stay. But I’ve made a promise to myself. I WILL STAY WITH ONE JOB FOR ALL OF 2009, I’m serious. How often I switch jobs translates to my personal life as well as my relationships. You can’t make anything last if you give up half way , so I’m going to see it through to the end in everything. I may even prove everyone wrong and date someone to the point of marriage. That’s the ultimate commitment isn’t it? That’s really sticking with it until the end right? Well maybe thats taking it a bit far but I’ll give it my best try…Keep it Moving…Keep Filing
